Our South Scotland final was played at the Grosvenor Casino in Glasgow with our Redtooth Poker members from Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas in attendance. After a long day of poker one lucky member would be joining our new North Scotland champion, Ritchie Mackie, on the plane to Las Vegas next year!

The best represented venue was one of our newest venues in the region. Well done to the Queens Head in Gretna who were well represented by Sonya Martin, Ron Simmons, Kirsty Middlemass & Robert McCracken.

Our 10 player final table had another good showing the from the I-Que Cafe Bar with 3 finalists from their 2 leagues. However, the heads-up encounter came down to Kirsty Middlemass against Matyas Horvath for the day’s top prize of VEGAS100 qualification. The tournament ended when Matyas was dealt 9-6 to Kirsty’s A-4 with Kirsty at risk for her tournament life. The board came down 9-3-K-8-4 to give Matyas the check mark and in-turn make him the latest South Scotland regional final champion.
