Our West Country regional final was played in the Grosvenor Casino in Bristol as one lucky Redtooth Poker player would be leaving the casino with a golden envelope after an exciting day of poker. £500 was also awarded to the day’s top finishers along with a team event trophy for the day’s best represented venue.

The first trophy awarded was the team event which was won by the Village Inn in Swindon and they were well represented by Stacie Wearne, Nick Collins, Dave Turazs & Kyle Mabberley.

Our 10 finalists took their seat with 9 of them looking at Joe Young‘s mountain of chips, more than double the 2nd biggest stack. David Plumpton held the short stack on just 15,000 hoping for a bit of early luck to get back into the tournament. When Nick Collins exited in 3rd place we were down to our final two players in Greg Coles and Joe Young. Unfortunately for Joe his luck ran out at the last minute as his K-10 couldn’t keep it’s pre-flop advantage over Greg’s 8-5 during the final hand. The board ran out 8-7-4-6-2 to Greg’s delight to make him the latest VEGAS100 qualifier.
