One of the South’s finest card rooms, Shuffles in Portsmouth, hosted our South England final. One lucky Redtooth member would be joining us in Vegas next year for the holiday of a lifetime!

We also had a team event to settle on the day which was eventually won by the Chestnut Tree in Andover. They had three representatives in Chris Bowler, Paul Cooper and David Winslade.

Final Table Chip Counts

104,600 Chris Moulsdale – Bridge
96,800 Chris Bowler – Chestnut Tree
96,600 Keith Simms – Star & Garter
106,000 Kevin Trent – Village
70,400 Nev Koshal – Saxon Inn
70,000 Andy Gove – Lock Stock & Barrel
51,300 John Cleverton – Greyhound Inn
44,700 Peter Allen – Old Farmhouse
40,000 Ollie Perrett – Moby Dicks
6,300 Samantha Bell – AMC Leisure

The usual 10 player final would mean two players would leave empty handed. The two unlucky players were Samantha Bell and John Cleverton in 10th and 9th respectively. This left us with the final 8 cash prize winners as Peter Allen exited 8th, Chris Moulsdale 7th, Keith Simms 6th, Lee Barry 5th, Nev Koshal 4th and Ollie Perrett 3rd. Chris Bowler was then left in a heads-up match against Andy Gove and also looking for a Chestnut Tree double. This looked increasingly likely as the final hand saw Chris table 4-4 to Andy’s A-4 and was confirmed after the board ran out 9-3-K-7-10. Congratulations Chris!
