The 4th leg of the Redtooth Poker Tour visited Blackpool for the Goliath leg of the tour. 2 tournaments were ran over the weekend with a first ever team event which offered 4 guest tickets to Las Vegas for the winning team of 4 before the RPT Main Event on Sunday. Both tournaments were hugely popular and were sold out weeks before the event was due to be played. In total over the weekend we awarded 5 golden tickets and over £2,000 in cash! Over £7,000 in prizes over the whole weekend.

The first event of the weekend was the team event which saw 50 teams of 4 aiming to win 4 guest tickets on the VEGAS100 trip in 2016. It took until the final table to find our winning team after Andy Matthews elimination in 6th place. So congratulations to our winning team ‘RRB’ who were represented by Richard Cauldwell, John Gurnhill, Andy Taylor & Nick Reading.

After a very successful team event, all 200 players took their seats for the Main Event with a seat into VEGAS100 up for grabs next year. There was also £2,000 up for grabs split between places 2nd-15th with 2nd place locking up £610.

Our 10 player final included RPT Coventry winner Terry Pitman who was looking for back to back wins and also Paul McNeil who was leading the tour before the Blackpool leg. But it was Scott Anderson and Andy Moores who outlasted the rest as they played out a short heads-up match with Scott holding A-K to Andy’s J-3. The board ran out 4-J-6-6-K and with Andy at risk Scott Anderson became the RPT Blackpool champion and will be playing in Las Vegas next year for the chance of winning a share of £12,000 cash and a £5,000 sponsorship package.
