Our South UK National Final was played at the newly refurbished Casino in Luton with 5 golden tickets being awarded on top of the £1,500 guaranteed cash prize-pool paid out from 6th place downwards. 6th place would guarantee at least £600 in cash!
The tournament started at 1pm with the players enjoying an increased starting stack, a longer blind structure and a professionally dealt tournament by Grosvenor and Redtooth dealers. With 156 players the guarantee was beaten so £1,560 was split between 10 players from 6th place down to 15th.
After around 6 hours of play we were down to the bubble with 16th place unfortunately leaving without one of the 15 big prizes on offer. On this occasion the bubble was Stuart Edwards from the Worcester Park RBL, Worcester Park! 5 eliminations later we were down to our final 10 players…
