Our Merseyside regional finalists visited their new home at the Grosvenor Casino in Liverpool after moving over the Mersey from New Brighton. One player would leave the venue knowing they have a trip to Las Vegas to plan after qualifying for VEGAS100 in 2016.

The day’s team event was won by the Observatory in Widnes who were represented by Robert Rowlands, Craig Bennett, Steven Frazer & Craig McDonald.

Jay Cooney kicked off the 9 player final as the chip leader but was closely followed by the two players who contested our heads-up battle John Littlewood & Craig McDonald. This was after Jay had exited in 3rd place after putting up a good fight. The new Merseyside champion was crowned in style as Craig’s Q-2 hit a lucky turn & river against John Littlewood‘s K-J on a 9-6-K-2-2 board.
