The players will compete for a share of the cash prize fund and their place in the prestigious National Final.

The West Yorkshire Regional Final was held at the Frontier Club, Batley. Formerly known as the famous Batley Variety Club. />Congratulations to Gary Heaps of the Podger, Garforth who became the West Yorkshire champion beating off stiff competition from 165 other competitors.

Again the White Horse in Southsea was a wonderful setting for the South England Final. And whilst most of Southsea had come out to enjoy the glorious weather the competition was certainly hotting up inside the pub, but there could be only one winner and that was Kirsten Edwards of the Lock Stock & Barrell in Newbury.

Adam Cunningham was crowned the West Midlands Champion at the Ramada Park Hall Hotel in Wolverhampton after a truly senstional performance. Adam, from the Moreton Arms in Fordhouse, was nicknamed ‘the comeback kid’ by other players after almost being eliminated from the tournament twice! Before the break he  recovered from having just 400 chips and then again later with the blinds 3000/6000 Adam posted the big blind and folded his cards leaving himself with just 1000 chips. He rallied to claim the title in a heads up battle with Adam Haskoll of the Glovers Needle in Worcester.
