The South Yorkshire final was welcomed back to the G Casino Sheffield with open arms. An 88% turnout meant the tournament would play well until the night before we would find our next member of the Vegas 100.

The team event prize was a tight battle between the Prince of Wales and South Hiendley Recreation Club that was eventually awarded to Adrian Pearce, Lyndon Farrar, B Milner and James Cook of South Hiendley Recreation Club.
South Yorkshire Team

Final Table Chip Counts

151,000 Gary Cheadle Prince of Wales – Sheffield
125,000 Martin Steeper Tut N Shive – Doncaster
111,000 Tony Hopkinson Club Baize – Sheffield
95,000 Simon Bosworth Players Lounge – Sheffield

41,000 James Cook South Hiendley Recreation Club – Barnsley
28,000 Pete “The Best” Horse & Jockey – Rotherham

Within the first few hands of the final table we had lost two players and had our National Final qualifiers. Play then slowed down as everyone wanted to be the South Yorkshire Champion and win the all important trip to Las Vegas. Short stack, Pete “The Best” kept his head down and played cool, which took him to final heads up against chip leader Gary Cheadle. The flop came down Jh 6d 8d to give Gary two pair leaving little chance of Pete’s pocket queens beating him. The turn revealed 3c and the river Kc declaring Gary as the new South Yorkshire Champion. Well played.

l_238823pokertour

The Hugely successful Redtooth Poker Tour hits the Genting Casino in Stoke for it’s 5th leg of the year on Sunday 20th October. The Stoke leg comes less than a month after the Sheffield leg which was the first leg of the tour to hit the 100 player cap and eventually won by local lad Keith Pickersgill.

With still over a week to go in online sales and inevitable walk-ins on the day, RPT Stoke could be another sell out as the tour starts to gain some huge momentum.

You can buy-in to RPT Stoke for just £20 here. The winner will be joining us in Las Vegas next year with 2nd – 8th place winning a Redtooth Poker hoody and a UK National Final seat in March.

With a little over 20 seats remaining, RPT Stoke could be the 2nd leg to hit the player cap!

Please note: All players must have played at least 4 Redtooth Poker games in the past 12 months to be eligible. All winners will be checked against our records and refunds for ineligible players are not available.
