Alan McIntyre from the Granary in Elgin staged a remarkable comeback on the final table of the Scotland Final staged at the Post Office Bar in Broughty Ferry, Dundee.
The tournament began in amazing fashion with four of the first six players eliminated all coming from Table E, which was quickly dubbed the ‘Table Of Death’ by the competitors.
Eventual winner, Alan, began on the final table as the short stack with just 7,000 chips! He recovered to take part in an exciting battle with Colin Tucker of the Chieftain, Inverness and Andy Robertson of the Northern Bar, Aberdeen. Eventually Andy went out in third place and just missed out on a place in the National Final at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham next month.
