The Village Hotel, Cardiff was the host for the South West & South Wales final, a great venue for a great final!
The two shortstacked players were in a heads up batlle to become the champion after knocking the chip leader out. It was nail biting stuff in the final hand as Chris Bryant of the White Lion, Cricklade beat Shane Pearce of the Rooftops, Haverfordwest with a pair of 9’s. Chris had Q 9 suited and Shane had 8 4 suited. The flop came to deliver Chris’s pair of 9’s with 9h 10s 6c but as the turn revealed 3c Shane had the possibilitly of a flush but the river was on Chris’s side being 5d. Well played to all the finalists!
