As you will be aware, the situation regarding the Coronavirus is changing daily, as is the advice being provided by Public Health England.

The government at present believes that banning large gatherings is one of the least effective measures a country can take, reducing the peak of the coronavirus by less than 5%. The virus is just as likely to spread within a smaller group such as those watching football in the pub as it would be in a large crowd.

Our scheduled events will go ahead as planned unless we are informed/advised otherwise by the government.

We are advising players and venues to follow the guidelines and procedures advised by the NHS and World Health Organisation.

• wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
• always wash your hands when you get home or into work
• use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
• cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
• put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards
• try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell

We would personally advise all players to wash their hands more regularly whilst participating in any tournaments.
If anything changes we will issue further updates.
