Our final table was reached in good time and kicked off with Don Hall leading the field on 156,000 chips. Our two short stacks were the first two players to leave the final with Dan Rock 10th and Shaun Blackshaw 9th. Chris Ramsey was then eliminated in 8th place before Scott Moseley 7th, Don Hall 6th, Patrick Walcott 5th, John Maguire 4th & Julie Hunt 3rd. and Paul Mallin both fought hard for the days top prize, however, the result became out of their hands as Paul Mallin was dealt A-A to ‘s K-K. Needless to say the chips soon went in with both players no doubt thinking they were onto a winner. The final board ran off 10-5-6-3-……..K! and shortly after a huge groan from the rail was crowned the new West Midlands One champion!
