The Grosvenor Casino in Newcastle welcomed our North East poker members with a VEGAS100 seat going to the day’s winner. We also awarded £500 to the top finishers along with a team event trophy for the best represented venue.

The first trophy was the team event which was won by the Seahorse in Blyth. They were well represented by Ian Walker, Matthew Nicholson, Jo Halliday & Ian Redpath.

Dawn Burnip led the final table with a stack of 132,000 chips with Stephen Cleland the short stack on just 12,000. Unfortunately Dawn just missed out on the heads-up battle as she exited in 3rd position, leaving Matthew Fisher and Richard Stollery to battle for the remaining two prizes. The tournament came to an end when Matthew tabled K-5 to Richard’s 9-8 and with a proceeding board of K-5-2-J-J Matthew Fisher was declared the winner!
