An increase of 28 players on last seasons Regional Final, making 206 in total battled it out in the 1st of two West Midlands Regional Finals for season 3 09/10. This shows what a great presence Redtooth have in the West Midlands and we send out a big thank you to everyone for your participation.
The 10 man final table was set once Marie Taylor sadly exited in 11th place after a fantastic deep run this time around. Jabram Khalid from Rileys in Worcester held a narrow chip advantage with 170,000, with Ben Haddigan and Gavin ‘The Kat’ Carter starting with 160,000 and 150,000 respectively. Laura Hale was the first to be eliminated as her 15,000 chips soon deserted her and 7 others soon followed to leave Jabram Khalid and The Kat from the Gunmakers Arms in Wolverhampton to battle it out for this seasons title. Jabram Khalid was fortunate enough to tame Gavin Carter as his KJ was a long way ahead of Gavin’s K10 preflop and the board changed nothing as it ran out A89 J 5 in Jabrams favour. A deal was struck between the final 4 as they all settled for £200, leaving £60 on the table for the eventual winner. Our congratulations go to Jabram Khalid who is known as ‘Bobbi’ to his friends.

205 runners arrived at the Gala Casino in Bristol in plenty of time to take part in the South West & South Wales Regional Final. A fun run nearby saw over 200 people dressed as Father Christmas as they were raising money for a local hospice.
A healthy 230 players were spread across 32 tables as the latest South Yorkshire Regional Final got underway at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane. Trevor Beavers got the wooden spoon as he was our first player out as the other 229 players carried on the battle. Our final table was set once Chris Forbes was unfortunate enough to finish in 9th place and bubble the National Final qualifying places.

The Gala Casino in Glasgow saw an impressive 100% turnout for their Season 3 Regional Final. Tom McGuinness held a slight 3,000 chip advantage over Hugh Higgins as the final table got underway, while Andrew Cahoon from Wintergills in Glasgow needed nothing more than a miracle as he started with only 4,000 in chips. The 8 finalists battled their way down to the final 2 players which was between the 2 chip leaders, Tom and Hugh. Tom eventually came out on top as his 8h 2s out flopped Hugh’s 10s 4c on a 6d 8d 4s Qh 6c board. All 8 finalists shared the £1,000 cash prize with Tom collecting a cool £500 and the Season 3 South Scotland Regional Final trophy. Congratulations to all winners and a very well played to all the players.
A record turnout at the Gala Casino in Dundee saw a 10 man final table take to the felt. Tom Keane from the Albert Bar in Montrose held the chip lead with 62,000 as play got underway, and Paul McKenna from the Woodville Inn in Kerriemuir began as the short stack with just 17,000. All hope was not lost for Paul as he came back in style from 10th place to make the heads up match with Tom Keane. The momentum was certainly with Paul as his flopped top pair with Ks 10c on a Jc Qh Kh Jd 7h board was much superior to Tom Keane’s flopped gutshot with 8c 9d. Paul took down the exhausting 7 hour North Scotland Regional Final and a well earned £500 in cash. A total of 8 players shared the £1,000 prizepool and a fantastic day and venue was enjoyed by all.
