UPDATED ON 14/04 2022 – Reminder that the outbound LFT needs to be a supervised one as on the BA website.

Here you can find the latest information and links regarding travel to the USA for our VEGAS 100 events and the ongoing Covid 19 Pandemic. This page will be updated as we get more information – please check here for the latest. Thanks.

General Requirements for the Trips in 2022

  • You must be fully vaccinated to travel to the United States by plane.
  • You are required to show a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 when you travel to the United States by air. This has to be a supervised test – either via a video link or administered by a health professional. This is simple enough – please check the link to the BA website below for suppliers.
  • Please note – all tests required for travel have to be registered private tests, NHS tests are not useable, the private ones come with a results certificate via email that has the information required for travel. Follow the test suppliers instructions – we suggest printing a copy for ease and backup.
  • Wearing a mask over your nose and mouth is required in indoor areas of public transportation (including airplanes) traveling into, within, or out of the United States and indoors in U.S. transportation hubs (including airports).
  • If you are showing symptoms of COVID-19 then please be responsible and test before you travel to ensure the trip is as safe as it can be for all.

1. Before You Travel to the United States

Latest government guidance is here:
https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/usa/entry-requirements

Proof of Vaccination REQUIRED

All non-U.S. citizen, non-U.S. immigrants traveling to the United States by air are required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

You can do this via the NHS App downloading the NHS COVID PASS
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/get-digital-covid-pass/
or alternatively a NHS letter which you can request on the NHS website to be posted to you, please allow plenty of time for this documentation to arrive.

You can also print a PDF version via the app – this is a recommended plan as a backup to keep with your passport.

  • A person who has received only one dose of an accepted 2-dose series and has recovered from COVID-19 does not meet this definition, and therefore is NOT considered fully vaccinated.

Testing REQUIRED

Before boarding a flight to the United States, you are required to show the following:

  • If you are fully vaccinatedProof of vaccination and a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 1 day before travel. So if you are flying on the Weds from Heathrow at 4.10pm you would need to take the test from 4.10pm on the Tuesday and have the results back before your flight.
  • This test needs to be supervised, either via a video link or administered in person by a health professional. Check the link below for options and prices.

You can purchase this at: https://www.britishairways.com/en-gb/information/incident/coronavirus/covid19-tests

Contact Information REQUIRED

  • All air passengers to the United States will also be required to provide contact information to airlines before boarding flights to the United States. This strengthens a travel process already in place to rapidly identify and contact people in the U.S. who may have been exposed to a communicable disease, such as COVID-19. Access to travelers’ contact information will allow U.S. federal, state, and local health departments, and agencies to share appropriate health and public health information necessary to help keep the public safe.

If you are happy to do so you can download VeriFLY app on Apple Store or Google Play to store the relevant information required for travel so you can quickly and securely complete all your travel health requirements.

Other Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Where can I get a test?
There are a list of  test suppliers with BA discount codes here.
Make sure you order in plenty of time. You’ll need two tests, 1 for the flight the US and one for your test on return to the UK.
  2. What if I test positive just before the VEGAS 100 trip?
If that’s the case then you would be unable to travel. At this stage, we are unable to claim any refund on the flights. This means we would be able to offer you a place on a future trip if space allows but there would be some charge to cover the travel costs.
  3. Do I need to print out my test results or can I show it on my phone?
You can show your passes digitally on a phone as well as your test results too.
The VeriFLY app is a convenient way to do this or you could save the relevant files to your device.
HOWEVER – for ease of use we suggest also printing out a copy of your NHS Covid Pass and Test Results before leaving for the airport as a backup and for ease of use at check-in.
  4.  What are the Mask Wearing requirements in the Casino?
The Nevada Health Response lists the risk level on their website here, with weekly updates.
