A tense 10 player final saw Gary Barnard lead the way with 169,000 in chips and Steve Ross starting as the short stack with just 38,000 in chips. Owen Simpson exited first in 10th place with Karl Harvey in 9th, Martin Connelly 8th, Steve Ross 7th, Denis Ware 6th, Tom Rogers 5th, Ashley Reeves 4th and Kevin Trent 3rd. Kevin’s exit left Victor and Gary battle heads-up for the Vegas 100 trip. The final hand saw Victor’s 10-9 match up against Gary’s 6-5 on a 3-7-9 flop. Two aces then peeled off on the turn and river to confirm Victor Foster as the new East London champion and secure an excellent day for the George in Bexley.
