Day 7 proved to be harsh to most but 27 players brushed off the bad beats. Here are the 27 players that still remain,
The remaining 27 players hail from severn different countries. James Ankenhead is the only remaining player from the United Kingdom, Marco Mattes is Germany’s last chance for the title and Waren Zackey is hoping to bring it home for South Africa. Ludovic Lacay is one of three Frenchmen left in the field and George Caragiorgas of Quebec is looking to become the first Canadian to win the Main Event. With the elimination of Peter Eastgate (Main Event winner 2008) late in Day 6, Dennis Phillips was the only player left of the original November Nine who was unfortunately knocked out in 45th place.
Look out for the two big named professionals who would be my bet to make the final table.
Good Luck once again to James Akenhead!!!

Trust Inns pub The Stag in Woodhouse is one of the latest pubs to join the UK’s largest pub poker league.
Manager Barrie Poole said “I contacted Redtooth through the quiz department and they told me that they operated a national poker league. After reading the friendly literature they provided, I thought let’s give it a go. Our Thursday nights have not been this busy in a long time…..Its great to see old customers mixing with new customers”. Thanks Redtooth Poker!

Both Ray and Scott were paid out by Betfred, each scooping £52.50 for their trouble!
Ray said ” Scott and I decided to place a bet of £2.50 , @ 20/1..on Zain. £52.50 was paid out and as a kind gesture I passed the (Paid out) betting slip to Zain who was over the moon to be able to keep it. Scott and I will be placing further bets on future qualifiers as this was pretty cool to see our names on the betting slips.”
